Atipahato
(uh-TIP-uh-HA-toe), a Native American phrase meaning "at the
top of the hill" is an apt description for the Atipahato Lodge at Idyllwild. Perched on a hillside overlooking the beautiful 14,000 acre San Jacinto
Forest, the Atipahato Lodge is your ideal base for exploring the beauty and serenity of Idyllwild. Each spotless guest room has been newly renovated
and features a cozy, knotty pine interior with vaulted, open beamed ceiling, a kitchenette, coffee maker and a 25" remote controlled
stereo television. All guest rooms have private balconies and all have great forest views.

Nature enthusiasts will enjoy meandering down the mountainside through our private five acre retreat which borders the State Forest, discovering,
along the way, our own seasonal stream and waterfall. Just a short distance further, guests will come upon the Nature Center, filled with
Native American artifacts, rock paintings and grinding stones. Adjacent to the Center is a trailhead to the high countrys' spectacular views. Of course, the quaint Idyllwild shops and delectable restaurants
of the Village are just moments away.
Whether it be for a relaxing getaway, a family get-together or for a rugged wilderness adventure, rest assured that your visit to the Atipahato Lodge
will be both enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to your visit! See more pictures and check out our great rates and easy directions by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page below.
